After 21 episodes, Jujutsu Kaisen is stepping into the next arc. So far the anime has been a story of Itadori Yuji and his quest at becoming stronger. Towards the recent episodes, we have seen Itadori’s strength grow more and more. He has come a long way from being a part of a small occult club in high school to fighting off special grade curses. Not to mention that he has so far gathered friends and mentors who are reliable and strong. The progress in the story is steady and has a warm fluffy vibe to it alongside the dark theme it carries. The anime has also introduced us to some very strong characters, both on the good and evil side. It also has well-balanced humor to it that has viewers coming back to watch another episode. It would indeed be unfortunate to see the season end. But, it seems like Jujutsu Kaisen will end with a bang. The last three episodes seem more promising now that the finale arc has been revealed!

Jujutsu Kaisen: Episode 22 preview

Until the episodes before the 22nd, the anime was focused on the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc. This arc is so far the second-longest arc in the manga. In episode 21 we see that after the interruption of the Exchange Event, the students gather to play baseball and decide the winner from the results of the game. There are some moments that will make you laugh, some that will make you wonder what just happened, and some that might just touch your heart. Yes, a baseball game can have heart-touching moments too! The episode also focuses on Todou’s growing likeness towards Yuji as he keeps chasing him and gets more delusional. He gets delusional to the point where he even makes up a story about how they went to middle school together. The episode was extremely good but the preview of episode 22, in the end, is what people are talking about. Considering that three episodes are still left, it is not shocking to see a new arc getting introduced. In the preview of episode 22, we see a woman driving Itadori Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki. This woman is Akira Nitta, their supervisor. This scene is from the first chapter of the next arc, The Death Painting. Now, here is the complicated part. The arc is extremely important for the viewers as it has some very important significance for future arcs. Are three episodes enough to animate the 10 chapters long arc? It might be a bit tough but it does not seem entirely impossible. I hope in an attempt to give the anime a blasting end, they do not end up rushing the story. However, the anime has not disappointed the viewers in any way so perhaps it will be fine.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Finale Arc Reveal– Reaction

The introduction of the Death Painting Arc in the first season itself was a bit shocking. I had always thought the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc would probably be the last arc we will see in the anime. Seeing an entirely new arc getting introduced in the last three episodes took me by surprise. The Cursed Training Arc which was 9 chapters long, was completed in four episodes. Since the Death painting arc is covered in 8 chapters, there is a possibility that three episodes might be enough to cover it in the anime. The arc holds important details on not just Megumi but also some major antagonists in the coming future of the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. It is still worth wondering how far into the story will be animated. One possible theory is that they might leave some cliffhanger at the end of season one. Bit, no matter how I look at it, a cliffhanger seems like a bad idea. Also, now that the finale arc has been revealed, it can be well predicted that the second season (considering it is released) will start with the Gojo Past Arc. The manga is still unfinished and Akutami is still writing it. So, it might be some while before any new season is released.
