Evangelion Final Film Earnings So Far
Currently, Evangelion’s Final Film is continuing to dominate Japan’s Box Office. The first week sees it charting and taking first place itself with total earnings of ¥3.3 billion. This comes from 2.2 million admissions in 466 theaters since the time it released in theatres. Coming to the 38 IMAX Theatres where the movie released. It is only at second place behind the record-breaking Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. Anyway, the movie beat the record for the highest-grossing opening day on Japanese IMAX screens. The record sums up to $740,000.= for the IMAX screens. So if we look closely, Evangelion’s Final Film has already surpassed the series’ previous movie ventures in the case of the very first week. The first film, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone, earned a total of 280 million yen in its first two days closing in at 2 billion yen in the entire run. Followed by Evangelion: 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance. The second film earned around US$5,302,760 on weekends gradually closing in on 4 billion yen for the entire run. Lastly the third film, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, in the first days earned around 1,131,004,600 yen.
Evangelion Final Film Release Date for Other Countries
Well, Evangelion’s final film continues to dominate the Japanese Box Office as well as the internet space. The proof is right above us. The only way to continue the dominance is an international release. Unfortunately, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time is still yet to get an international release date. There is no announcement on when and which countries will be getting a theatrical release. The Covid-19 Pandemic draws a huge question mark for the final film of Evangelion when it comes to releasing in other countries. Anyway, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train recently received a release for the United States which was in question too. So it’s just a matter of time owning to the success the movie is enjoying. Unlike, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train which took six months for United States release, Evangelion’s final film might not take that long if things are improving. Evangelion Final Film Plot
Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time is set in 2015 continuing to follow the story around Shinji Ikari. The year 2015 in the movie sees the world facing cataclysm. One day, Shinji’s father, the director of a paramilitary force named Nerv summons him. He introduces Shinji to the city where it all began. This is the time Shinji witnesses a dark fact. The world is battling an angel which has entered the earth. These creatures are bent on ending humanity once and for all. Powerful bio-machine called Evangelions are used in the battle against angels. These machines are connected through the nervous system of the pilots. Shinji goes on a rampage with these machines he has no experience of. Still manages to kill the angel. He moves to the city and trains himself to be a better pilot. Ends up finding many more pilots just like him who are now tasked to kill 14 of these angels. The final film continues the story with Shinji losing hope until he finds a place for hope.
